The center offers a unique concept offering edifying services to women from all walks of life.
Services include a holistic approach to fitness, incorporating a faith-based environment to strengthen the minds, souls, hearts and bodies of the women of Michiana. FOCUS, Mind, Body and Soul opened its doors on October 15th, and is offering several introductory packages for women.
According to Seyler, Being a faith-based organization, our goal is to follow Biblical principals by offering grace, encouragement and a servants heart to all those who walk through our doors.
The mind, body & soul are three important components to healthy, balanced life.
Concentration on these areas is a trend in the fitness industry.
The mission at FOCUS is to help women regain and maintain balance in their lives through various avenues. Seyler went on to say that her motivation for creating this fitness center was born out of her own desire to help women find total health through spirituality and exercise.
She was unable to find a local facility that offered the kinds of services she was wanting, at a reasonable price.
According to Seyler, God planted the seed for this business, and all I did was cultivate it and it has grown into FOCUS.Fran Telfer, one of the charter members of FOCUS commented on her reasons for joining the club, this is a very comfortable atmosphere, not intimidating at all.
I have never belonged to a health club.
Telfer went on to say, I really appreciate the helpfulness of the staff and the total-wellness approach.
The hydro massage is my favorite!FOCUS offers aerobic classes, a circuit quick 30-minute workout, hydraulic and cardio equipment, fitness and wellness seminars, and self-defense classes.
Maria Ross, manager said, We want to provide classes to women that meet their needs and interests.
If that means cooking classes, self defense, or dressing for your body type, we will do it!
Various seminars and workshops are currently scheduled, and include topics like self-image, hormonal balance, healthy cooking, and healthy kids/families.
Seminars are geared to all women, in every phase of life.Grand Opening activities will continue through Thanksgiving, hours of operation are Monday Friday, 7am-1pm, and 3pm-8pm; Saturday, 7am-noon.
